ROP Agricultural Welding and Fabrication
Grades 11-12
Prerequisite: Ag Engineering 2 and/or approval of the instructor
Students will learn skills in arc welding, TIG welding and oxy-acetylene cutting. Plasma Arc cutting will also be covered. Instruction will include lecture, demonstration, and hands-on work. Students will be required to complete large and small projects during the school year. Safety glasses must be worn at all times in the shop. Students will be responsible for the cost of materials needed to complete the large projects. Students are required to complete FFA activities and a Supervised Agricultural Experience project for this course. This course is articulated with Modesto Junior College for AGM 50- Preparation for Mechanical Technology and AGM 210– Agricultural Welding. This is a 2 period course.
